Gary Mansfield, an attorney and Founding Partner of Mansfield, Bronstein, & Stone, LLP (MBS) has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1995, and is a Florida Supreme Circuit Court Certified Mediator. He has served as chief executive and president of several public and private companies for more than twenty years. In 2013, Gary was selected as one of the Most Effective Lawyers in the category of Distressed Real Estate for Mansfield Bronstein & Stone’s victory on behalf of the Peninsula Condominium Association against U.S. Bank – which set new case law. And again, in 2019, Gary and MBS were chosen as the Most Effective Lawyer for their prosecution of a class action on behalf of more than 12,500 members which resulted in an award of in excess of $220 million.
Gary, a real estate developer, who has been a licensed real estate broker in multiple states, including in Florida for 30 years, has been a principal of multiple entities which have acquired commercial, residential and multi-family properties. Prior to his career in real estate, Gary was involved in the healthcare industry where he was employed as the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions for National Medical Health Card Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:NMHC), a leading pharmacy benefit management company with revenues approaching one billion dollars. Prior to this position, Gary was employed as the President and Chief Operating Officer of NMHC Mail Order, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical and mail order pharmacy, wholly-owned by NMHC. Additionally, Gary was a principal in several healthcare ventures including an independent retail pharmacy chain; a pharmacy benefit management company; a managed care pharmacy; and an automated mail order pharmacy business.
Given his vast healthcare experience, Gary was employed as the Director of Healthcare Investment Banking at Capitalink, LLC, where he provided clients with strategic guidance and assistance in implementing mergers and acquisitions, as well as debt and equity financing. Thereafter, Gary was an advisory and investment professional at Barnett & Partners, LLC, a New York-based merchant bank dedicated to strategic advisory, wealth management and specialty investment opportunities. Currently, Gary is a member of the Advisory Board of BelHealth Investment Partners, a healthcare private equity firm that focuses on lower middle market companies.
Gary has previously held senior management and board of director positions at several healthcare companies including Best Generics., Inc. (sold to Ivax Corp. AMEX:IVX); Medical Containment Systems, Inc. (sold to ProxyMed, Inc. NASDAQ:PILL); PlanVista, Inc (NASDAQ:PVST); and US Script sold to Centene Corp. (NYSE:CNC). In the various positions he has held, Gary has helped these companies in raising capital through a variety of structures, including initial public offerings, private placements for private and public entities, and reverse merger transactions. Gary also provided many of these entities with the development of corporate strategic initiatives, as well as legal guidance.
Gary is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Hundred Club of Broward, and was previously a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit organization, the Children’s Bereavement Center (CBC), which provides support for those who suffer the loss of a loved one. Gary had served on the CBC Board and Executive Committee for more than 10 years, as well as serving as Board Chairman of the Executive in excess of 3 years. In addition, Gary is Vice President of AFSMA, the Association of South Florida Mediators & Arbitrators.
