Beatriz T. Suzuki is a Partner at Mansfield, Bronstein & Stone, LLP, where she focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation in health law. Beatriz represents healthcare providers and facilities in breach of contract matters, statutory insurance recovery actions, and business agency disputes.
Beatriz has argued before panels of arbitrators, state judges, and federal judges. She has taken and defended depositions of parties, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses. Beatriz has negotiated managed care agreements, commercial contracts, and settlement agreements in both formal mediations and informal discussions.
Prior to joining the firm, Beatriz served as litigation lead for the health law unit of a Fort Lauderdale firm, where she led and trained junior attorneys and staff. Before that, as a Senior Associate at a Miami firm, she served as claimant and plaintiff counsel in multi-million-dollar in-network contract dispute arbitrations and out-of-network recovery lawsuits.
Beatriz began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in New York City with the Richmond County District Attorney’s Office in Staten Island. There, she served as lead attorney from arraignment to trial on a caseload of more than 100 matters, with a focus on special victims and animal cruelty cases.
Beatriz is fluent in English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish.
